Norwegian Biscornu No. 4

$3.00

I would suggest its both modern and traditional at the same time due to its beautiful bold colours combined with the old pattern.

Description

The reconstructed pattern comes from a traditional Norwegian folk costume (called Bunad) which often includes intricate beadwork in all various colours. This particular had strong yellow colours beautiful additional blues and red tones. I would suggest its both modern and traditional at the same time due to its beautiful bold colours combined with the old pattern.

My example was stitched using Aida 18 and 2-thread DMC cotton in cross stitch.

The Biscornu Pincushion pattern measures 65w x 65h squares.

Thread estimate is about half a skein of each colour. There are seven colours in total.
DMC numbers are the same as the colours I’ve used in my example.

Pattern file will be in two parts.
1 pdf file with marks and full colour for full visual
1 pdf file with marks and no colour for easy visual or desired changes to colour.

Pattern files do not contain instructions upon making it biscornu shape, please see tutorial on my blog for that:
